The fourth edition is a complete update of the third edition, published in 1992, taking into account major revisions to Federal Aviation Adminstration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards and recommended practices. Furthermore, the revisions reflect the experiences of the authors in teaching, consulting, and research in this field.
